Punjab News: The troubles of sacked AIG Ranjit Singh in a case linked to drug smuggling and multi-crore corruption in Punjab have increased. A special meeting of the Special Task Force (STF) registered another case against Rajit under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Rajjeet is accused of demanding bribes from drug smugglers and providing security to them. According to sources, a case of embezzlement and corruption has been registered against the sacked officer.

According to available information, a case has been registered against Rajjeet by a special STF at Mohali police station based on three SIT reports made public by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. According to media reports, the FIR mentions the dismissed officer

The SIT named the dismissed police officer based on the statement of persons investigated by the SIT headed by then Special DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay. Recently, raids were conducted in Delhi, Mohali and Sriganganagar to arrest Ranjit Singh.
