Prosecution arguments complete in Honeytrap murder case

Jaipur, May 25 (Hindustan Times). The District Sessions Court concluded the final arguments in the case against accused Priya Seth and others involved in the May 2018 murder of youth Dushyant Sharma by luring him into a love trap through a dating app. At the same time, the argument of the defense side has also started. Initially, the case was argued on behalf of the accused Dikshant Kamra on Thursday.

In fact, after the statements of all the 45 witnesses including the IO were completed in this case, the final arguments of the prosecution were completed. The IO of the case had said in his testimony that accused Priya Seth had framed Dushyant through social media. Mistaking Dushyant for money, she takes him to her flat, where her friends Dikshant Kamra and Lakshya Walia are also there. In order to get a large sum of money from Dushyant, they took him hostage and beat him up and demanded ransom from his father, but later they killed Dushyant and stuffed his body in a suitcase and dumped it in the hills of Amer.

 

In such a situation, the charge of murder and criminal conspiracy has been proved against the three accused including Priya Seth. 62 clauses have been presented before the court. Along with the police investigation, FSL and DNA report, other crimes including murder against the accused have been proved. In the challan produced in court against Priya and the other accused, the police admitted that they killed the deceased Dushyant Sharma as part of a well-planned conspiracy and dumped his body in a suitcase in Amer Hills to destroy evidence. After this incident, Rameshwar Prasad, the father of the deceased, filed a complaint against accused Priya Seth and others at Jotwada police station.
