[ad_1]

Washington: A group of lawmakers has introduced a bill before the US Congress to grant permanent residency to children of foreign nationals who came to the US on work visas. The bill demands that the government give them legal status and protect them instead of deporting them after 21 years.

There are countless foreign nationals living in the US as Documented Dreamers. He has a long term US visa, but no PR. These are citizens who came to the US on a work visa and have not been granted permanent residency. These foreign nationals have been waiting for years to get PR. Their children can study in US schools and colleges and stay till 21 years, but if they do not get work visa or PR till 21 years, they are deported to their home country.

To prevent that situation from happening, a group of lawmakers has put a bill before the US Congress. Bill demands that the children of Documented Dreamers get PR in America. This benefit should be given to those who have been living on dependent visa for 10 years or more. It has been recommended to give PR to children of workers who came to US on employer visa. They should be protected under the Children’s Act. There are an estimated 250,000 children of documented Dreamers living in the United States. There has been a demand to give permanent residence permits to these children studying in American universities and institutions. The number of Indians in these documented dreamers who came to America on work visa is very high. If the bill is passed then the children of citizens of Indian origin will get its benefit.

Lawmakers said that the current law in the US takes away their future from such children. He is ordered to be deported years later. As a result, he is forced to leave America, the country where he spent his childhood, and return to his homeland to fight anew. The bill has been introduced in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
