Prayagraj: Two students of Gurukul Montessori School Shanthipuram drowned while bathing in the Ganga at Phaphamau Ghat on Saturday. Following the commotion of bathers, the police reached the spot and started an investigation. But the two were nowhere to be found. Due to the incident, the family has become sad. Both the students were residents of Shantipuram Phaphamau.

According to information received, many students were bathing under the bridge. Meanwhile, two children drowned in deep water. Due to the strong current, both of them went missing in a short time. The family members also reached the place crying after coming to know about the incident. Currently, both the police and divers are investigating. Chahat Dwivedi’s son Shivamurthy Dwivedi and Krishna Mishra’s son Lokesh Mishra both study at Gurukul Montessori School in Shanthipuram.

It may be mentioned that people could not forget the drowning incident of two students of MNNIT at Shivkuti Ganga ghat two days ago and two children drowned again. The condition of the ghats has worsened due to the low water level of the Ganga in summer. Due to lack of proper sense while bathing, people take deep dives and incidents occur.
