The Republic of Palau and Fiji also presented their country’s highest award to PM Modi at the Forum for India Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) meeting held in Papua New Guinea on Monday.
PM Modi was honored with the ‘Abkal Award’ by Palau President Surjel S Whipps Jr. Prime Minister of Fiji, Sitwini Rabuka, conferred Fiji’s highest honor ‘Companion of the Order of Fiji’ on PM Modi.
Papua New Guinea also honored PM Modi with ‘Companion of the Order of Loghu’. This is not the first time that a country has conferred the highest civilian honor on PM Modi. Even before this, 9 countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE have honored him.
