PM Modi paid tribute to Raj Kapoor on his 100th birth anniversary, praised the ‘showman’

The 100th birth anniversary of the late actor, director and producer Raj Kapoor, popularly known as the showman of Hindi cinema, is being celebrated. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to this legendary actor of cinema through his official X handle and called him the best actor of Hindi cinema. Remembering the talent of Raj Kapoor, Narendra Modi has praised him a lot. He also said that Raj Kapoor has made a huge contribution in giving Indian cinema a special identity all over the world.

Modi called Raj Kapoor an ambassador

PM Narendra Modi wrote, ‘Today, we celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Raj Kapoor, a visionary filmmaker, actor and the first showman! His genius will continue to grow from generation to generation… He has left an indelible mark on Indian and global cinema. He is still in the hearts of the audience because of his many famous characters. Raj Kapoor was not just a filmmaker, he was also an ambassador.’

 

 

Further, PM Modi said, ‘Today’s film makers can learn a lot from him and his films which will be remembered for generations to come. I once again pay tribute to him and appreciate his contribution to the creative world.’ In another post, PM Modi further wrote, ‘The iconic characters and memorable melodies of Raj Kapoor’s films will always remain famous among audiences around the world. Every music of his films is still very popular.’
