PM Modi gets Fiji’s highest civilian award, awarded for global leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Papua New Guinea on Sunday after attending the G-7 and Quad meeting in Japan. Here he attended the 3rd Summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC). After the meeting, PM Modi has taken another step towards friendship by meeting the leaders of many countries of the Pacific region. For these works of India as a global leader, the Prime Minister of Fiji awarded PM Modi with his country’s highest honor ‘Campaign of the Order of Fiji’. Only a few non-Fijians in the world have been awarded this honour. In such a situation, this honor has a different significance for India. Along with this, the Republic of Palau also honored PM Narendra Modi.

 

 

On the other hand, the President of the Pacific island nation of the Republic of Palau, Surangel S. Whip Junior honored PM Modi with Abkal Award. The meeting between the two leaders took place on the sidelines of the FIPIC summit. Let us tell you that on Sunday, PM Modi first reached the APEC House where James Marape, the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, welcomed him.

 

Meeting with the Governor-General Sir Bob Dade

Along with this, PM Modi also met Governor General Sir Bob Dade. Meanwhile, both the leaders emphasized the importance of development partnership between India-Papua New Guinea relations.

Released the translation of the book ‘Thirukkural’

 

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the Talk Pisin translation of the book ‘Thirukkural’ in Papua New Guinea. He also had a wonderful meeting with Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare on the sidelines of the FIPIC Summit.
