PM Modi again on top in Global Leader Approval Rating, leaving Biden and Sunak far behind

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is once again at number one in the Global Leader Approval Ratings.

He has secured the top position by securing 78 per cent approval rating. Under this rating, approval rating figures of leaders of 22 countries, including India and America, who are considered powerful in the world, have been released.

The ratings released today are based on polling conducted in 22 countries around the world from May 10 to May 16. The number of voters in each country depends on the characteristics of that country. This organization called Morning Consult regularly publishes ratings.

PM Modi’s approval rating is 78 percent. So Joe Biden has 42 percent. He is at number five in this list. While Swiss President Alain Berset and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López are tied for second place with 62 per cent ratings. Australian PM Anthony Albanese is third with 53 percent, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni fourth with 49 percent rating, Brazilian President Luiz da Silva fourth with 49 percent rating. Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau is sixth with 39 percent rating and Spain’s President Pedro Sanchez is joint sixth with 39 percent rating. Ireland’s PM Leo Varadkar is at the eighth position with 34 per cent rating.

British PM Rishi Sunak is at the ninth position with 33 per cent rating while French President Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are far behind in this rating.

Voting in India is done by the organization through its representatives.
