PM holds bilateral talks with President of South Korea, discusses cooperation in areas related to IT hardware and semiconductors

New Delhi, 20 May (Hindustan Times). Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held bilateral talks with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Hiroshima, Japan. Both the leaders reiterated their commitment to further strengthen India-South Korea relations.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said the two leaders agreed to enhance cooperation in trade and investment, high technology, IT hardware production, defence, semiconductor and cultural sectors. During this, Indo-Pacific strategy and India’s G20 presidency were also discussed.

On the other hand, the Prime Minister said in a tweet that India and South Korea share cordial relations with cultural affinity. Today’s discussion will further deepen cooperation in some important development areas.
