Plan to set up 2 new cities near Delhi, work to start from July

Noida and Greater Noida Authority will start work to establish New Noida and New Greater Noida in next 3 months. They will finalize the masterplan for the next two cities. After which they will start buying land. CEO Ritu Maheshwari has set a deadline to start work from July. The notification for both the cities has already been released.

Both these cities are developing due to possible land shortage in Noida and Greater Noida. There is little land left in Greater Noida, but Noida is almost fully developed. The authorities are planning these two cities to bring the development of the state on track. Land prices in both these cities will be lower than Noida and Greater Noida.

New Noida will remain here

New Noida will be built between Dadri and Khurja land. The Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad investment zone, to be called New Noida, will be built using land acquired from 87 villages. Officials have chosen the School of Planning and Architecture. Also, the responsibility of developing this area at grass root level has been given to Noida Authority.

A new Greater Noida will be created here

New Greater Noida Phase 2 of Greater Noida is planned. The project is being supervised by the Greater Noida Authority. He has asked a private company to prepare the draft. Besides Gautam Buddha Nagar, 150 villages of Hapud, Bulandshahr and Ghaziabad have been included in New Greater Noida. Its area will be 28000 hectares.

Lack of connectivity is delaying the project. However, between Greater Noida and New Greater Noida, there was the Delhi-Howrah rail line and National Highway 91. According to Tricity, Rs 200 crore will be spent on New Noida and New Greater Noida by March 2024.
