Pakistan’s big decision, 500 Indian prisoners will be released

Pakistani authorities have decided to release 500 Indian prisoners. Out of which 499 are fishermen who have completed their sentence. Indian prisoners will be released from jails in phases. On Thursday, the first batch of 200 prisoners were released from Malir District Jail and sent to Lahore.

According to a report, the Edhi Foundation will facilitate the freed Indian citizens to be taken to Lahore by train and they will be handed over to the Indian authorities at the Wagah border on Friday. Another batch of 200 Indian fishermen will be released from Karachi jail on June 2.

Please tell that arrangements will also be made to send them to India. According to media reports, the third batch of 100 Indian prisoners will be released on July 3 and they will be sent back to the country. The report said that Pakistan and India regularly arrest and jail each other’s fishermen for violating the maritime boundary.
