Fawad Chaudhary, former minister in the Imran Khan government and leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, jumped off a car to escape arrest and then fled to the Islamabad High Court, sparking a storm.
Fawad Chaudhary was recently granted bail by the Islamabad High Court. Fawad Chaudhary was sitting in his car after getting bail. But meanwhile he got scared seeing the anti-terrorist squad coming towards him from the front.
The court of Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb issued an order to release PTI leaders while hearing separate petitions. During the hearing of Fawad Chaudhary, Barrister Jahangir Jadoon appeared before the bench on his behalf.
He sought permission to place certain facts before the court. During which he told the court that the copy of the court order was neither given to the IG office nor to the law officers. He also told the court that the PTI leader’s biometric verification was not done on the application. However, on this argument, the judge scolded the lawyer and said that it is the job of the judge to see whether the biometric has been done or not.
