A strange incident has come to the fore on Tuesday amid the ongoing political turmoil in Pakistan. Here senior leader of Imran Khan’s party and former cabinet minister Fawad Chaudhary got down from the car and ran away after seeing the police in front.
His lawyers also ran along with Chaudhary and everyone heaved a sigh of relief when they reached the Islamabad High Court building. In fact, as soon as Chaudhary came out of the High Court, he saw the police moving towards his car. Panicked, Fawad could not think of any other way to escape arrest.
On 9 and 10 May, supporters of Imran’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vandalized and set fire to several parts of the country. Since then the police is looking for several leaders. Fawad Chaudhary is one of them. The video of this incident is going viral on social media.
Fawad was arrested by the police two days ago in connection with the violence on May 9 and 10. He is accused of inciting PTI workers to violence. After being in police custody for two days, Fawad was produced in the High Court on Tuesday itself. From here he got bail in a case.
After getting bail, Fawad Chaudhary came out of the High Court with his lawyers and sat in the car. Meanwhile the media wanted to talk to him but Chaudhary refused to say anything. Meanwhile, his lawyers said – Chaudhary sahab has just got bail, he is very tired and will talk to the media later. His family was also riding behind Fawad’s car.
Fawad was on the front seat and his lawyer was sitting on the back seat. When the car took a few steps forward, Fawad panicked and asked the driver to stop. Then he opened the car gate and started running fast. His lawyers also ran after Fawad. The lawyers ran and said – Chaudhary sahib High Court… After that everyone went inside. According to media reports, Chaudhary was present in the High Court building even after several hours.
In the footage found inside the High Court building, it can be seen how Fawad is limping and his lawyer is asking the people around to bring water. Actually, as soon as Fawad came out of the High Court after bail, he sat in the car. Meanwhile, the car of Anti Terror Squad stopped in front of his car. Some policemen moved towards Fawad’s car. Fawad understood that he was being arrested.
Imran Khan was arrested on May 9 from the biometrics room of the Islamabad High Court. On 10 May, the Supreme Court released him and ordered that no person could be arrested inside any court in Pakistan. If this happens then action will be taken by the police. That’s why Fawad thought it right to run inside the High Court.
