Overtaking bike collides with truck, three dead including girl

Mirzapur, May 28 (Hindustan Times). An overtaking bike collided with an oncoming truck near Sumtia village in Jijna police station area late on Saturday night. Three people including the bike rider died in this accident. The bodies could not be identified.

Jigna Police Station Superintendent Arvind Kumar Pandey said that a young man (20) on a bike was going towards Jigna with a girl (22) and a 21-year-old man on his bike. Near Sumtia village on the Prayagraj-Mirzapur road, the bike rider started overtaking the truck and collided with another truck coming from the opposite direction. All three including the girl died in this accident. The dead have not yet been identified, the police have sent the bodies for post-mortem. At the same time, a case was registered against the unknown vehicle driver and a search was started.
