Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will appear before the Jinnah House fire probe team on May 30. He has been summoned by the Joint Investigation Team probing the matter. In the violence that followed Imran’s arrest on May 9, Jinnah House was set on fire by PTI workers. The matter is also big because some valuables were kept here which were allegedly looted. A case was also registered against Imran Khan in this arson-loot case. The case is being investigated.
Imran Khan is going to appear before the investigation team at 4 pm today. The Deputy Inspector General of the investigation team in Lahore has asked Imran Khan to appear on time. Targeting Imran Khan, PM Shahbaz Sharif said that the condition of the country has deteriorated because of him. In a tweet, he said that due to the situation created by Imran Niazi, investors will also shy away from investing here.
23000 PTI workers arrested
Following the arrest of Imran Khan, PTI workers resorted to violence and arson across the country on 9 May. Meanwhile, a fire broke out in Jinnah House in Lahore. The Corps Commander was present in the house at the time of the fire. He was also seen attacking PTI workers. According to Imran Khan, 23000 PTI workers were arrested on charges of violence and arson. Out of which 10,000 Imran supporters have been kept in C-grade jail. The rest are in the detention center.
Harassment of women activists in jail
Recently, a separate controversy has erupted in Pakistan regarding the claims of Imran Khan. According to Imran, the Pakistani army and police are molesting and sexually abusing women activists of PTI in jails. Some videos have also surfaced on social media with such claims, in which women can be seen being misbehaved by the Pakistan Army. In one of the videos, army men are seen torturing the woman and even pulling her hair.
Imran Khan Present Evidence: Maryam
A minister in the Shahbaz government claims that Imran Khan himself was planning the fake “rape”. He was trying to defame the army by doing this. Information Minister Maryam Nawaz has sought evidence from Imran Khan. Maryam called Imran’s claim a new lie. He said that this is a very serious allegation which we cannot tolerate.
