Jaipur, May 24 (Hindustan Times). Rajasthan High Court has given relief to the reserved category candidates who scored more than the cut off general category in Junior Judicial Assistant Recruitment-2022. The court has said that reserved category applicant candidates who have not availed the relaxation in age limit and qualification should be included in the computer test. A division bench of Acting CJ MM Srivastav and Justice Anil Upman passed the order while hearing a petition filed by Pankaj and others.

Advocate Rampratap Saini, in the petition, told the court that the High Court administration had conducted recruitment for 1985 posts of Junior Legal Assistants in the year 2022. The written exam was held on March 12. The class wise cut off was released while declaring the result on May 1. In which the cut off of general category was 196.34, OBC category was 230.44, SC category cut off was 202.43 and MBC category cut off was 203.35 and economically backward class cut off was 224.53. The petition stated that the High Court administration had excluded candidates with marks higher than the general category and lower cut-off than their category. Whereas as per the rules such candidates should be included in the general category. The application stated that the merit will be created by adding the marks of written examination and computer test in this recruitment. As it was not a screening test. Therefore, where merit is created by adding the marks in the written examination, the reserved category candidates who score higher in those recruitments are included in the general category. Hearing on which the court has asked the candidates who do not avail the benefit of reserved category in age limit and qualification to be included in the computer test.
