Online fraud: Fraudsters find new ways to cheat everyday. They pick people’s pockets by taking advantage of people’s carelessness, hobby or greed. Now the miscreants are promising to make millions of rupees by auctioning old notes and coins. There are many sites on the internet related to buying and selling old notes and coins. The special thing is that these fake sites are using the name or logo of RBI to cheat people. RBI has now advised people not to fall prey to such offers.

The Reserve Bank of India says it has nothing to do with auctioning old notes or coins. RBI does not do this. If anyone is doing such work in the name of RBI, he should be complained. If a person wants to sell old notes or coins, he should read the RBI guidelines.

Greed to earn millions of rupees
Nowadays, there are such advertisements online and offline, in which the greed of earning lakhs of rupees by auctioning old notes or coins is being given. Many sites are actually using RBI’s name for this purpose. They represent as if they are authorized to do so by the RBI. When someone approaches them to auction old notes or coins, the crooks demand money in the form of fees, commissions or taxes. Many people have lost their money by falling into their trap.

RBI
People have been appealed not to use this online platform in the name of RBI. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that no organization, company or individual is empowered to auction notes or coins and charge transaction fees. People should avoid this kind of fraud. If a person seeks a commission in the name of RBI instead of auctioning the notes, a common man can also give his information to the cyber cell.
