NIA raids 100 places in 6 states to nab Khalistanis, gangsters

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a massive crackdown on the nexus of gangsters, Khalistanis and smugglers at more than 100 locations in 6 states of the country since Wednesday morning. These raids are being conducted based on intelligence related to the activities of gangsters and Khalistanis in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh. Action has been taken against people considered close to dozens of gangsters, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, Neeraj Bawa. Central agencies, Delhi Police and police of other states have been chasing these organized criminals and terrorists operating from different parts of the country as well as countries like Pakistan, Canada, Malaysia, Australia, USA in the last seven months. In the meantime, many gangsters were also arrested.

More than 30 gangsters were killed in seven months

The police have conducted dozens of raids in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh etc. to bust the gangsters’ networks. Apart from this, the NIA has arrested around 30 gangsters and their associates in raids at more than 200 places in five rounds in seven states in the last six-seven months. 13 properties have been attached, 95 bank accounts have been sealed, while as many as 20 look-out circulars have been issued. The gang uses cyberspace to instill widespread fear among people and spread terror and violence, an official said.
