New Zealand’s Wellington hostel fire kills 6

Six people were killed in a massive fire at a four-storey hostel in New Zealand’s capital, Wellington. New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkiss informed about the incident. He said that the death toll may increase.

Police say they have no information about the dead. According to the police, the death toll is around 10. Emergency teams including fire brigade were called after the incident which happened late at 12:30 am.

Wellington Fire and Emergency District Manager Nick Pyatt said there were 52 people in the hostel. But till now it has not been confirmed. Payat said, I am giving this jamkari with sadness, many people may have died in this incident.
