Namami Ganga launched cleanliness drive at Trilochan Ghat

Varanasi; Namami Gange members conducted a cleanliness drive at Trilochan Ghat on Monday. Meanwhile, the regular bathers present at the ghat also participated in it. After the cleanliness campaign, aarti was performed to Ganga and Trilochan Mahadev and everyone was wished for happiness and prosperity. People were made aware about cleanliness through loud speakers.

Rajesh Shukla, the organization’s Kashi region coordinator, said that according to Kashikhand, the Trilochan Mahadev temple and the ghat are dedicated to the third eye of Shiva. At the edge of the Trilochan Ghat, there is an invisible confluence of the Narmada and Pippila rivers in the Ganga. These three rivers are like the three eyes of Shiva. That is why the ghat is named Trilochan ghat. He said that it is our responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the wonderful, spiritual and supernatural ghats of Kashi. Bina Gupta, Durga Seth, Akhilesh, Priya Seth, Lalu Pandey etc also participated in cleanliness awareness.
