MP: Gwalior-Chambal wind gust of 50 kmph, orange alert issued

Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, the thunderstorm process continues during Nautapa. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the Gwalior-Chambal division. There will be a period of heavy wind and rain for the next three days. Wind speed may be 50 kmph or more. At the same time, the weather will change in other parts including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur. Thunderstorm and rain may occur at night.

According to meteorologists, three systems are active in the state and wind speed has tripled due to humidity. 40 km in capital Bhopal on Monday. The wind was blowing at a speed of one hour. Due to which trees fell in many places. Also, there was blackout for a long time in Shajapur due to broken electric wires. Here, during the day on Monday, it rained in Sewni, Satna and Guna.

Senior meteorologist Vedprakash Singh said that in the last 48 hours, one Western Disturbance moved over Himachal Pradesh and another remained active as a trough over Iran-Pakistan. Along with this, the cyclonic circulation which was over South-West Rajasthan has now moved over South-East Rajasthan. With this cyclonic circulation, an east-west trough line remained active over Madhya Pradesh and a north-south trough line also remained active from Chhattisgarh to South India. Along with this, moisture also came from the Arabian Sea. Three systems were in effect with southwesterly winds. Due to which the wind speed was also high.

The mercury had fallen due to rain

Due to the onset of rain in the state, the day temperature has dropped in many cities including Bhopal, Indore. On Monday, the temperature was recorded at 36.7 degrees in Bhopal, 35 in Indore, 35.8 in Gwalior and 37.3 degrees in Jabalpur. The maximum temperature was over 40 degrees in Sukhya-Khargone. Temperatures in other cities were less than this. Pachmarhi recorded the lowest temperature of 32 degrees. In many cities, the night temperature has dipped below 20 degrees.
