Moscow Drone Attack: Drone Attack in Moscow Caused Damages to the Buildings, Mayor’s Reaction

Russia Ukraine War: In response to the Russian drone attacks that occurred throughout the night in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, one person is reported dead.

 

 

Moscow Drone Attack News: Russia has been accused of launching a series of drone attacks on Tuesday morning in Moscow against Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated in Telegram that Kyiv had carried out a ‘terrorist attack’ by launching 8 drones. Officials reported that several buildings suffered minor damages. The capital city’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin, notified that no one was seriously injured. He mentioned that emergency services were present at the scene.

The Ministry of Defense has confirmed that all the drones had been intercepted. The Ministry stated, “Three of them lost control due to electronic warfare and deviated from their targets. The remaining five drones were destroyed in the air by the Pantsir-S surface-to-air missile system in the Moscow region. “Prior to this, media reports has stated that there were 30 drones involved in the attacks. Official also mentioned that several drones crashed into the buildings after being shot down. There has been no comment from Kyiv, but on Monday, Ukraine’s military intelligence chief, General Kirilo Budanov, issued a warning about retaliating against Russian missile attacks on Kyiv.

Attack images going viral on social media

Images posted on social media show smoke trails in the sky above the Russian capital, and some images display a broken window. Sobyanin provided information in a Telegram post that two individuals had requested medical assistance. He stated that several buildings suffered “minor damages” from the attack. Sobyanin also mentioned that residents in two affected buildings were evacuated.

In this drone attack, it is being said that a person lost his life. The Ukrainian official claimed that the Ukraine’s air defense had successfully intercepted more than 20 drones, but debris from the intercepted caused fires in the buildings.
