Morena, May 18 (Hindustan Times). The birth, penance and salvation welfare day of the 16th Tirthankar Lord Shatinath of Jainism was celebrated in a religious atmosphere at the Digambar Jain ancient temple in Sihonia. People of Jain community from all over the country were present on this occasion. After Shanti Dhara in the morning, Sri Shantinath Mahamandal Vidhan was held for the welfare of the world, in which devotees prayed to God for peace and tranquility in the country.
Pandit Rajendra Shastri and Sanjay Jain Shastri were specially present in the meeting and performed all the religious functions. In the program regular ritualistic puja, Shantidhara followed by chanting of Lord Shantinath and Mahamastakabhisheka with 108 Kalash was performed. After that, on the occasion of Lord Shatinath’s Nirvana Parva, the devotees offered Nirvana Ladu and offered good wishes.
Devotees participated in the Shantinath Mahamandal Vidhaan organized on this occasion and got marks. Vidhan Acharya Pandit Sanjay Shastri said in the program that in Jainism, the birth of Lord Tirthankara, penance and welfare of salvation are of special importance. This benevolence of God inspires the path of salvation. This event is symbolic of the transformation from human to superman and soul to divine. Through whom dharma and virtue are accumulated. Lord Shantinath, despite being a Chakraborty emperor, renounced everything and adopted the path of self-welfare. Through which he attained moksha and gave the world a message to shun attachment, attachment and hatred.
Program heads Jinesh Jain and Ashish Jain Sonu said that Lord Shantinath’s Birth, Tapa, Moksha Kalyan Utsav teaches us to stay away from worldly vices. Lord Tirthankara is the creator of peace and gives peace to the world. That is why today we all worship him together. He said that man’s desires are endless which are never fulfilled, all the things that Lord Vitraagi said in the divine discourse are guiding us today. Every living being has the potential to attain Nirvana, that is why we should follow the path shown by the Lord.
