Sydney: Narendra Modi is one of the most diverse leaders in the world. He is different among the leaders India has got so far. Nobel Prize winning scientist Brian Paul Ramid in Astrophysics said this after meeting Narendra Modi here.
Ramid was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2011.
I think Prime Minister Modi is the most diverse leader I have seen in my life. When they talk, be it the President of America or any common man, they meet for the first time in the society. Talks equally to everyone. Even this scientist said.
Regarding the research being done in the field of science in India, Rameed said, it was very interesting to talk to him about it. He was briefed about what we do here and discussed how we (Australia and India) can work together on science research.
World class research is also being done in India. Its area is getting higher and higher. Because India is investing more and more in science and scientists. It also provides equipment to scientists. And its scientists are asking pressing questions.
Doctor. Ramid worked on astronomy and astrophysics at ANU’s Mount Stromlo Observatory and Research School. During that time he got the Nobel Prize. He then became the Vice-Chancellor of ANU. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer at the Australian National University (ANU).
