Mixed signals from the global market, US futures rise

New Delhi : So far mixed signals are being received from the global market. US markets were closed on Monday for Memorial Day. But today US futures have a bullish trend. European markets closed with mixed trade during the previous trading session. Similarly, mixed business is seen in Asian markets today.

The impact of the agreement between President Joe Biden and House of Majority Leader Republican Kevin McCarthy regarding the debt ceiling in the US is visible on US futures trading today. US futures are up by 0.53 per cent. Let us tell you that after the debt ceiling is passed, the risk of defaulter for America will be averted. For this reason, there has been an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the US market since the last day of the last trading week.

European markets closed with mixed trade during the previous trading session. The FTSE index closed at 7,627.20 points with a gain of 0.74 per cent. On the other hand, the CAC index ended the previous session’s trade at a level of 7,303.81 points with a weakness of 0.21 per cent. Similarly, the DAX index closed at a level of 15,952.73 points with a decline of 0.20 percent.

Asian markets also saw mixed trading today. Apart from India, 4 out of 9 markets in Asia are trading in the green mark with an increase in the index. At the same time, 5 indices remain in the red mark with a decline. SGX Nifty is trading at a level of 18,716 points with a strength of 0.14 percent. Similarly, the Straits Times Index has gained 0.13 percent to reach 3,199.42 points. Apart from this, the Kospi index jumped by 0.80 percent and is currently trading at the level of 2,579.37 points and the Jakarta Composite Index strengthened by 0.13 percent at the level of 6,689.58 points.

On the other hand, the Nikkei index is trading at a level of 31,224.02 points with a weakness of 0.03 percent. Similarly, the Taiwan Weighted Index declined by 0.26 percent and remained at the level of 16,593.22 points. The Hang Seng index slipped 153.48 points, or 0.83 percent, to 18,397.63 in today’s trade. Apart from this, the Set Composite Index is trading at a level of 1,536.04 points with a decline of 0.32 percent and the Shanghai Composite Index is trading at a level of 3,198.58 points with a weakness of 0.72 percent.
