The army in Pakistan has started preparations for action against former Prime Minister and head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan. Commandos have surrounded Imran Khan’s house. Imran may have come to know about his arrest. He said before his arrest, “This is my last speech. Pakistani army is plotting against me. My house has been surrounded and a conspiracy is being hatched to trap me.
In fact, the Shahbaz government has claimed that at least 40 terrorists are hiding in Imran Khan’s house. The army has given them an ultimatum of 24 hours to vacate the house. The Pakistani army has claimed that Imran gave shelter to those who attacked the army and set fire to the corps commander’s house in Lahore. The Pakistani army had bluntly said that either leave the house and surrender to the Pakistani army or else the Pakistani army will enter the house after 24 hours.
My last tweet: Imran Khan
Imran Khan tweeted, ‘This may be my last tweet before the next arrest, police have surrounded my house’. Earlier, Imran had said that cases have been registered against our leaders under military law. This has never happened before. Suddenly it was assumed that PTI is a terrorist organization. The Pakistan Democratic Movement is busy creating a rift between the Sena and Mary. It is quite possible that tomorrow Imran Khan may be arrested or killed for harboring terrorists.
Imran Khan is in trouble at the moment. He has been ordered to appear before the NAB court in the Al Qadir Trust case. Now the question is, will Pakistan once again burn in the fire of violence-threat? Will there once again be a frenzy of arson and riots in Pakistan? Will the roads of Pakistan witness civil war once again?
Imran Khan in trouble
After Imran’s arrest, Punjab’s acting minister Amir Mir has termed those who attacked military installations during violence in the country as terrorists and has spoken of strict punishment against them. Minister Maryam Aurangzeb is talking about strict action against the protesters.
According to Pakistani media, action can be taken against Imran Khan under sections 59 and 60 of the Army Act. The great thing is that Article 59 has a provision for capital punishment. In such a situation, if the allegations against Khan are proved, then he can be sentenced to life imprisonment or even death. In this case, the Pakistan Army will conduct a hearing against Imran Khan in Simri Court.
