Describing some of the recent decisions by the Pakistani Supreme Court as providing complete relief to former Prime Minister Imran Khan and protesting the ruling coalition before the Supreme Court against these decisions, PML-N’s main organizer Maryam Nawaz on Monday called on the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Addressing the protesters, Maryam, daughter of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif, accused the Supreme Court of imposing judicial martial law in Pakistan. He said that as long as Umar Ata Bandyal is the Chief Justice of the country, free and fair elections are not possible and only after you (Bandyal) are removed, elections will be held at their scheduled time.

Participating in the protest along with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, chairman of the Pakistan Democratic Movement, and other leaders of the multi-party coalition, Maryam (49) said, “You all should know that Zaman Park is not the birthplace of the chaos and crisis in the country today.” Rather, it is the post of Umar Ata Bandial.

Maryam alleged that Tehreek-e-Insaf president Imran Khan has done what terrorists or enemies of Pakistan could not do. He said, Khan and his wife stole government money and bought plots with this money. He said that Khan tutored his sycophants and burnt Jinnah House. Maryam said that the people sitting in this building are killing justice. He asked the Chief Justice, are you happy to see the crowd outside the Supreme Court.

Fazlur Rehman, chief of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), the country’s ruling coalition of 13 political parties, announced on Friday that his organization would file a complaint against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial on Monday over his alleged judicial support for former prime minister Khan. will be produced before the Supreme Court.

It was expected that the protesters would leave the campus after holding a symbolic demonstration, but the JUI-F converted the demonstration into a sit-in.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was also supposed to attend the demonstration, but senior PPP members advised him not to do so. However, PPP leader Nisar Khoro was seen standing on the stage with the PDM leadership.
