Auraiya: Maheva and Kandhavali teams clashed on the fifth day of ‘Panchnad Cricket Championship’ being organized by Chambal Vidyapeeth family at Himmatpur ground. Mahewa team won the toss and elected to bat first but faltered from the very beginning. Maheva team could not even play the prescribed 12 overs and got all out for 53 runs in just 10.2 overs.
In response, the Kandhavali team batting briskly won by eight wickets in just 3.4 overs. Ashish Dubey of Kandhavali team contributed maximum 24 runs with the help of three fours and two sixes. Avneesh Nishad of Kandhavali team was man of the match by taking three wickets and scoring four runs.
This championship is being held near the confluence of five rivers in the memory of the revolutionaries of 1857. In which players from Jalaun, Auraiya, Etawah and Bhind are participating. Like every day, the revolutionaries were bowed before the start of the match. During this, Dr. Shah Alam Rana, the founder writer of Chambal Vidyapeeth, mentioned Mandhata Ahir, the great revolutionary of the freedom struggle.
