Mahakumbh Prayagraj: The next Mahakumbh in the country is going to be held in Prayagraj. The Mahakumbh fair will be organized from January 13 in the year 2025. The Mahakumbh fair is organized every 12 years. Earlier this event was held in the year 2013. Kumbh Mela has great importance in Sanatan Dharma. It is related to both astrology and faith. Mahakumbh and Ardhkumbh are organized only when some planets are in a particular position. 

When does the Maha Kumbh of Prayagraj take place? 

According to astrological beliefs, when Jupiter is in Taurus, Maha Kumbh is held in Prayagraj. This situation occurs only once in 12 years because Devguru Jupiter stays in every zodiac sign for 1 year. In this way, it takes him 1 year to complete one zodiac cycle. This year on 1 May 2024, Jupiter has transited to Taurus and will remain in Taurus till April 2025. Now comes the date of start and end of Maha Kumbh. 

When the Sun and Moon enter Capricorn while Jupiter is in Taurus, the Maha Kumbh of Prayagraj begins. In the year 2025, this coincidence will happen on 13 January. Then the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh will start from 13 January 2025 and this fair will continue till 26 February 2025.

Dates of main bathing of Maha Kumbh

The first royal bath of the 2025 Maha Kumbh will be on 14 January on the day of Makar Sankranti. 
The second royal bath will be on 29 January on the day of Mauni Amavasya. 
The third royal bath will be on 3 February Basant Panchami. 
Apart from this, there will be a bath on Paush Purnima on 13 January, Maghi Purnima on 12 February and Mahashivratri on 26 February.

– When Jupiter is in Taurus and during this time whenever the Sun is in Capricorn, then the Kumbh Mela is organized in Prayagraj.

– Similarly, when Jupiter is in Aquarius and during this time Sun is in Aries, then Kumbh Mela is held in Haridwar.

– When Sun and Jupiter are in Leo sign then Maha Kumbh Mela is held in Nashik.

– When Devguru is in Leo and Sun is in Aries, then Kumbh is organised in Ujjain.
