Machhiwada: A young man was electrocuted while spraying the maize crop in the field.

Machhiwara news: Farm laborer Rakesh Kumar (19), a resident of Balibeg township, was electrocuted to death while spraying maize crops in the fields near Machhiwara Sahib. Friends of the deceased said that today a total of 9 persons came to Machhiwara Sahib to spray the maize crop.

 

Friends of the deceased said that Rakesh Kumar was also spraying crops when suddenly an electric wire hanging in the field touched his body, due to which he got electrocuted and died on the spot. Immediately after the incident, police personnel also reached the spot and cut off the power supply and took possession of Rakesh Kumar’s body and sent it for postmortem.

 

The relatives of the deceased also reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported and his father Suresh Mahato said that his son Rakesh Kumar was working as a laborer in the fields. According to relatives, Rakesh Kumar was engaged to be married next month in June, but the incident took away his young son.

DSP Samrala said that the statements of the family members of the deceased are being recorded, based on which legal action will be taken.
