Love flowing for loved ones across the seven seas

[ad_1]

Now almost every day in the media there is news of remarkable achievements of Indians settled outside India. From becoming the President of the World Bank, Indians are becoming the President of the country, Prime Minister, MP etc. The matter is not limited to this. Indians living in every corner of the world have filled the coffers of their country with their money. RBI figures till February 2023 show that NRI deposits with RBI have reached Rs 136 billion. NRI stands for Non Resident Indian. It is clear that nearly three crore Indians and NRIs are doing solid work to make their country happy. Therefore, it would be wrong to think that they forget India as soon as they cross the seven seas.

It is not so. Indians live wherever they go. He is identified as an Indian. They are proud to be Indian even after many generations. The great Kenyan hockey player Avtar Singh Sohal once said that Indians have settled in Africa for more than 125 years. Now their fourth-fifth generation lives there. Even from Africa many Indian families have settled in Europe, Canada, America etc. But wherever they go they call themselves Indians. Sohal has represented Kenya in four Olympic Games. He has also bought a flat in Chandigarh. Indians settled in some African countries say that if there is a crisis, they can turn to India. That is why they keep their assets in India as well.

In the strong economic health of the country, anonymous Indians who send money to India every year contribute no less. Usually only big investors are discussed in the media. When any state invites investment in itself, it only looks at big companies. I agree that their investment is also necessary, but only if the citizens of their country invest in their country is happiness. The fact is that money should come into the country. Whether it is sending Indian IT engineers working in America’s Silicon Valley or skilled and unskilled laborers working in Dubai or any part of the Gulf.

Everyone knows that due to the influx of money from outside India, it is possible to improve the infrastructure in the country. But it should also be kept in mind that India is not just a geographical reality for the Indian diaspora or NRIs. For Sikhs, India is their gurughar. Similar is the situation of Buddhists and Jains. Hindus of Sanat do not see anything other than India. The loyalty of Muslims to India is also undeniable. The common Muslim of India repents by taking the name of Pakistan. Some Muslims are still unwilling to change with the times. Thousands of Muslims returning from Gulf countries before Eid can be seen at any airport in Delhi, Mumbai or Kerala. All these are coming to celebrate Eid with their family members and best friends.

Even after settling in Africa, Canada, America, Britain etc., Indians cannot stay away from India. They preserve their culture and cultural heritage there. Indian women usually wear sarees on occasions like Diwali and Holi, wedding ceremonies etc. Most Indian dishes are cooked at home. While Indians in Mauritius speak French and Creole fluently, Indians in East Africa are proficient in Swahili. But, they never leave their ancestral language, Bhojpuri and its folk songs.

Of course, all these Indian diaspora are really our brand ambassadors. That is why central and state governments should always come up with new schemes for their interest. They should also get a better return on their investment, so that they keep sending more and more money into the country.

This is a very ideal time for India. The whole world is facing recession, so we have overall peace here. Business is running smoothly. Incidents like caste riots in Manipur should not happen in our country. Just look at the condition of neighboring country Pakistan. There is a state of civil war. However, India has to continue to strengthen its economic position. Now the whole world respects the one whose economic condition is right.
