Cooch Behar: Left supporters protest in Cooch Behar over the issue of recruitment corruption in West Bengal. Meanwhile, clashes broke out between the police and the protesters, leading to tension in the area.
In fact, on Tuesday, a DM office campaign against recruitment corruption was launched by Students Federation of India (SFI), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA). Keeping in view the campaign, the police had made tight arrangements. Barricades were put up at many places to stop the protesters, breaking them they tried to reach the DM office. When the police tried to stop them, the police clashed with the demonstrators. However, the police brought the situation under control after a few minutes. The agitators said that corruption is going on in the entire state. This movement is against corruption itself.
