Laom App Scam: Three Malaysian citizens arrested, innocent victim in 8 countries including India

Andhra Pradesh Police has arrested three Malaysian nationals in connection with the loan app scam. The arrest of these accused named Chong Lui Jing, Chu Kai Lun and Thiagarajan Kasi is a big success as their network is spread across eight countries.

A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the IPC and section 67 of the IT Act. The perpetrators have targeted victims in India, Pakistan and 8 countries including Nepal, Bangladesh and Thailand.

 

Police said the three accused would be produced before a magistrate and police remand would be sought for further investigation. Police said on Wednesday that three foreign nationals have been arrested from the Chennai airport in connection with the loan app scam.

After his arrest in Tamil Nadu, he came to Andhra Pradesh. The matter came to light after a suicide case. The Loan F scam has come to the fore after he took a suicide-like step after getting caught in the loan scam.

The relatives of the deceased have registered a case of extortion and abetment to suicide at the Kadiyam police station in Rajadamudari of East Godavari district. The victim took a loan of Rs 10,000 from a fake loan app. and in return stole a large sum of money

The victim was threatened by the app agent by threatening to send her morphed picture to her family members. Frightened by the threat, the victim committed suicide on May 5.
