Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that according to the facts and figures provided by the health department of the state government, the health condition of pregnant women, newborns and adolescents in the state is alarming. He said that the lack of governance in the state has created such a dire situation.
Speaking to reporters in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, he said malnutrition, child mortality rate and anemia among women were serious problems in the state. Due to which the physical and mental development of children does not take place properly. He says that this is not only the opposition’s allegation, but Odisha government’s health survey is also saying this.
Regarding Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s statement against the double engine government, he said that there cannot be a double engine government by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. This is a half engine government.
