Kejriwal to boycott NITI Aayog meeting, wrote to PM Modi saying – Delhi government is being made ineffective

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has decided to boycott the Niti Aayog meeting to be held on Saturday (May 27). They have decided to boycott the ordinance brought by the central government in Delhi.

CM Kejriwal has written a letter to PM Modi saying that if the Prime Minister does not follow the order of the Supreme Court, where will people go for justice? Let the Prime Minister do the work of non-BJP governments. Also said that when cooperative federalism is a joke then what is the point of attending Niti Aayog meeting?

The letter states that-

As democracy has been under attack for years, non-BJP governments are being toppled, dissolved or not allowed to function. This is neither our vision of India nor cooperative federalism.

After 8 years of fighting the people of Delhi won the battle in the Supreme Court, the people of Delhi got justice, you passed an ordinance in just 8 days and reversed the order of the Supreme Court.

So if any official of Delhi government does not work today then the government elected by people cannot take any action against him. How will such a government run? This government is completely paralysed. Why do you want to paralyze the Delhi government? Is this India’s vision, is this cooperative federalism?

This ordinance of yours is being strongly opposed not only in Delhi, but by the people of the entire country. The Supreme Court is considered the greatest temple of justice. People are asking if the Prime Minister does not listen to the Supreme Court, where will people go for justice?

There is no point in attending the Niti Aayog meeting when the Constitution and democracy are being insulted like this and cooperative federalism is being mocked. That is why people are saying that we should not go to the NITI Aayog meeting tomorrow. So it will not be possible for me to attend tomorrow’s meeting.
