Karnataka Election Result 2023: In the Karnataka assembly elections, 12 candidates from different political parties have crossed the mark of more than 50 thousand votes. Congress President DK Shivakumar is also included in these candidates. He has won the state assembly election with a margin of more than 50 thousand votes.

He defeated his nearest rival B Nagaraju of the Secular Party by over one lakh votes, securing 75 percent of the total votes polled in the Kanakapura assembly constituency. Shivakumar got 1,41,117 votes while Nagaraju got 20,518 votes. BJP’s R Ashok is at number three with 19743 votes. In three other seats, Congress candidates defeated rival BJP candidates with a margin of less than 500 votes.

Who defeated whom by more than 50 thousand votes

In Gandhi Nagar, INC’s Dinesh Gundu Rao defeated BJP’s Saptagiri Gowda AR by a margin of 54118 votes. In Sringeri, Congress candidate TD Rajagouda defeated BJP candidate DN Jivaraja by 201 votes. In Malur, KY Nanje Gowda defeated BJP’s KS. Defeated Manjunatha Gowda by 248 votes.

 

These are the seats where Congress had won by more than 50 thousand votes. Congress leader Laxman Sangappa Savadi won from Athani assembly constituency in Belagavi district of Mumbai-Bangalore region by a margin of 76,122 votes. Savadi got 1,31,404 votes (68.34 per cent) while his nearest rival Mahesh Kumathalli of BJP got only 55,282 (28.75 per cent) votes.

In Belgaum Rural, Congress leader Lakshmi Hebbalkar defeated BJP candidate Nagesh Manolkar by a margin of over 56,016 votes. Congress leader BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan defeated his nearest BJP rival Bhaskar Rao in Chamarajpet by a margin of 53,953 votes. It is a part of the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha constituency. Khan got 77631 (62.22 per cent) votes.

INC party’s Ganesh Hukkeri has won the Chikkodi-Sadalga assembly seat in Mumbai Karnataka region by a margin of 78,509 votes. He has defeated BJP candidate Katti Ramesh Vishwanath by 78 thousand 509 votes. Hukkeri got 127324 (69.76 per cent) votes. Congress candidate KC Veerendra Papi defeated BJP’s GH Thippa Reddy by 53,300 votes from Udhap Chitradurga seat. KC Virender got 122021 votes.

Congress’s Roopa Kala MA defeated BJP’s Ashwini Sampangi by 50467 votes from Kolar Gold Fields seat. Rupa got 80924 votes. In Kollegal, INC’s AR Krishnamurthy got 1,08,363 (64.59 per cent) votes, while his nearest rival BJP’s N Mahesh got 48,834 (29.11 per cent). The margin of victory stood at 59,519.

In Kudaligi, Congress candidate Srinivas NT got 1,04,753 (63.95 per cent) votes and his nearest rival Lokesh Nayak of BJP got 50,403 (30.77 per cent) votes. The margin of victory was 54,350 votes. In Pulakeshnagar, Congress’s Srinivas defeated Bahujan Samaj Party’s (BSP) candidate Akanda Srinivas Murthy R by 62,133 votes. Srinivas got 87,214 (66.72 per cent) votes, while Akanda got 25,081 (19.18 per cent).

In Sarvagananagar, Congress leader Kelachandra Joseph George defeated BJP’s Padmanabha Reddy by a margin of 55,768 votes. George got 1,18,783 (61.04 per cent) votes. INC candidate Satish Jarkiholi defeated BJP’s Basavaraj Handari by 57,211 votes from Yamkanmardi seat.
