NASA released the map: It will be very hot this year. Along with this, the rainfall in the country may also be weak. The reason is El-Nino. American space agency NASA’s Sentinel-6 Michael Frelish satellite has shown heat waves flowing over the Earth. These waves later become El-Nino. These waves are called Kelvin waves. NASA captures El Nino heat wave from space. A wave of warm water in the Pacific Ocean was moving eastward from the west coast of South America. It is about March-April. The satellite took this image on April 24, 2023. That is, it got cold in May and then suddenly got hot.

According to satellite images, these Kelvin waves are moving towards India in the Pacific Ocean. Not only in India but across Asia. The height of these waves is only 2 to 4 inches. But their width is up to thousands of kilometers. Also known as the wave preceding El Nino. Josh Willis, a scientist working on the Sentinel-6 Michael Froelisch satellite at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, says we’re watching this El Niño like a hawk. If this big wave comes, the whole world will have to face extreme heat.

El Niño is actually part of the ENSO climate cycle. These are warm winds that blow in an easterly direction at the equator. which warms the surface of the Pacific Ocean. This warm water then moves from the Americas to Asia. As the hot water moves faster, the heat increases. Instead cold water comes from below. Then it heats up and moves on.

On May 11, 2023, NOAA stated that there is a 90 percent chance of El Niño occurring this year. Which will also affect the winter season of Northern Hemisphere. Due to which sea temperature will increase by 1 degree Celsius. There is a 55 percent chance of El Nino becoming very strong. Due to which the temperature will increase by one and a half degrees Celsius.

 

A map released by NASA shows red and white areas in the ocean where warm water flows. This warm water will warm the coastal areas along with the air heat. Due to this, severe heat and rain conditions will be seen in various parts of the country. In April, scientists recorded the highest ocean temperatures on record. The global average temperature has reached 21.1 degrees Celsius. This effect is due to climate change. La Nino effect has disappeared from tropical regions. It is getting hot now. The effects of El Nino are starting to show. Which will be the main cause of heat.

Josh Willis said El-Nino and supercharged ocean temperatures are converging this time. Due to which many types of records will be broken for the next 12 months. The highest maximum temperature will be approx. Then we will know what we are losing due to El Nino. El Niño is a marine phenomenon responsible for changes in ocean temperatures and atmospheric conditions in the equatorial region of the tropical Pacific. This change causes sea surface temperatures to become much higher than normal. Temperatures may be 4 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal.

El Niño is part of the climate system. It has a profound effect on the weather. Its arrival is affecting the weather around the world. There is a difference between rain, winter and summer. The relief is that both El-Nino and La-Nino occur not every year, but every 3 to 7 years. Surface waters in the central and eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean are unusually warm during El Nino. Winds blowing from east to west weaken. Warm surface water in the western Pacific begins to move eastward along the equator.
