Eight people have died in floods in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Streets were flooded after heavy rains and people had to take shelter on their roofs due to waterlogging. Al Jazeera gave this information on Wednesday quoting officials.

Flooding left parked cars in the streets of Faenza, Cesena and Forli, south of Imola, submerged in muddy water. Sewers in many shops also got filled and people had to take shelter on their roofs.
Electricity has not reached 50 thousand people
According to reports, 50,000 people do not have electricity. Prime Minister Georgia Maloney tweeted for those affected and said the government stood ready to intervene with the necessary aid. The government announced that the emergency services needed to focus on rescue efforts.
