IPL 2024 Eliminator: RCB again broke the dreams of crores of its fans, Rajasthan Royals eliminated them

Golfix6agaaxniyRCB vs RR Eliminator IPL 2024: Like every year, the hearts of RCB and their fans were broken once again at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad when Rajasthan Royals defeated them and knocked them out of the race to win the trophy. In this eliminator match played in IPL 2024, Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan crushed Kohli and company by 4 wickets. In this match full of ups and downs, RCB did not give up hope till the last breath, but the brilliant innings of Riyan Parag and Simran Hetmyer took Rajasthan to Qualifier-2. Now Rajasthan has to face Sunrisers Hyderabad to reach the final.

RCB’s batting did not work

After losing the toss, RCB batsmen who came to bat first proved to be a flop. Except Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Mahipal Lomror, the rest of the batsmen were seen dancing in front of Rajasthan bowlers. Kohli added 33 runs in 24 balls. Yuzvendra Chahal made him his target. Rajat Patidar was batting on 34 runs with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes, when he was caught out by Avesh Khan. Lomror also tried to take the team towards a big score by batting fast, but he was also dismissed by Avesh Khan on a personal score of 32 runs. 2 fours and 2 sixes were seen from Lomror’s bat. Avesh Khan took the maximum 3 wickets for Rajasthan Royals. Ravichandran Ashwin got 2 wickets. Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal got 1-1 success.

Parag shines after success

Chasing 173 runs, Rajasthan Royals had a good start. However, Tom Kohler-Cadmore was out at the team score of 46 runs. He scored 20 runs. After this, Yashasvi Jaiswal started taking the innings forward along with captain Sanju Samson, but just 5 runs before completing his half-century, Yashasvi was trapped by Cameron Green. Yashasvi scored 45 runs hitting 8 fours. Soon after this, Samson also fell prey to Karn Sharma on a personal score of 17 runs. Dhruv Jurel (8 runs) also got out cheaply. Riyan Parag and Simran Hetmyer made a good partnership and took the team towards victory. However, Mohammad Siraj got RCB back in the match by dismissing both the batsmen in the 18th over. Parag returned to the pavilion after scoring 36 runs and Hetmyer 26 runs. After this, Rovman Powell (16 runs), who came to bat, gave Rajasthan the victory by hitting two consecutive fours and a six after playing two dot balls.

Even in 2022, Rajasthan had broken the dream

Let us tell you that in IPL 2022 also, Rajasthan Royals broke RCB’s dream of winning the trophy. After defeating Lucknow in the Eliminator, Rajasthan Royals defeated RCB by 7 wickets in Qualifier 2. In 2020 and 2021 also, RCB was eliminated in the first eliminator out of three playoff matches. RCB last reached the final in 2016 under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. However, now the team will have to wait till the next season to win the trophy.
