Indian women’s team in final of Volleyball Challenge Cup

New Delhi, May 27 (Hindustan Times). The Indian women’s team has entered the final of the ongoing KAVA (Central Asian Volleyball Association) Volleyball Challenge Cup in Kathmandu, where they will face Kazakhstan.

The Indian women’s team defeated Uzbekistan in the semi-finals played on Friday. The Indian women’s team defeated Uzbekistan 3-0 in straight sets (25-17, 25-20 and 26-16) to enter the final.

Indian team captain Nirmal Tanwar, Prerna, Surya and K.S. Genie did a great job.

The Indian team will face Kazakhstan in the title match on 28 May 2023 (Sunday). Kazakhstan has made it to the final after defeating hosts Nepal.

A total of eight countries participated in this tournament. The tournament is being organized by Nepal Volleyball Association under the aegis of Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) and Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC).
