India will host the Quad summit in 2024, announced PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a meeting with the heads of state of the Quad countries in Hiroshima, Japan. During this, PM Modi said that we will be happy to host the Quad Summit in India in 2024. In meeting with US President Joe Biden, Australian PM Anthony Albanese and Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, PM Modi said that he is happy to participate in this quad summit.

The security of the Indo-Pacific region is important to the world

 

He said that the Quad group is an important platform for ensuring peace, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. There is no doubt that the Indo-Pacific is an engine of trade, innovation and growth. We agree that the security and success of the Indo-Pacific region is important not only for the region but also for the world. With a constructive agenda, we are moving forward on the basis of shared democratic values.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi further said that with joint efforts, we are giving practical dimensions to our vision of a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific. I congratulate Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of Australia for successfully chairing this summit. India would be happy to host the Quad Leaders Summit in 2024.

Meanwhile, Australian PM Anthony Albanese said he was happy to be reunited with close friends. Standing together for an open, stable, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region. It is an area where sovereignty is respected and regional balance benefits all countries, large and small. At the same time, US President Joe Biden said that I think people will look at this quad 20-30 years from now and say that change is dynamic not only in the region but also in the world.
