India ready to defend its sovereignty: Modi’s message to China-Pakistan

Indian Prime Minister Modi arrived in Japan to participate in the Y-7 meeting being held in Hiroshima, Japan. There he was warmly welcomed by Japanese leaders and Indians. He is the first Prime Minister to visit the Japanese city after the Pokhran nuclear test in 1974. After the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, Jawaharlal Nehru visited Hiroshima in 1957. Before leaving for Japan, Modi gave a special message to neighboring countries China and Pakistan in a special meeting with Nikkei Asia in Delhi. He clearly said that India is fully prepared to defend its independence and sovereignty. Bilateral relations have hit an all-time low due to border tensions between the two countries. Relations with China have been strained since the violent clashes in the Galwan Valley in 2020. A peace series on the border is necessary to normalize relations with China

Issues of energy, digital technology will be discussed

Modi said that he is keen to discuss the challenges facing the world in this meeting. In particular, challenges in energy, digital technology, fertilizers and supply chain will be discussed. India will play an important role in this as a reliable partner. On the issue of war between Russia and Ukraine, Modi said that India’s stand on the issue is already clear. It is important that both countries reconcile and maintain peace.
