Lucknow Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday reviewed the progress of departmental schemes run in public interest with senior government level officials. While reviewing the planned departmental schemes at his official residence, he directed the officials to speed up the pending works in the taluks. The Chief Minister gave the necessary guidance to provide houses to the rural characters.

Chief Minister Yogi said that there is a need for major improvements in the functioning of the tehsils. We have to make concerted efforts towards transparency and timeliness. Complaints, problems should be resolved within time limit. Digitization should be encouraged. Cases relating to inheritance and succession should not be kept pending unnecessarily. Keeping in view the expectations of the common man, a detailed action plan should be prepared and presented to improve the functioning of the talukas.

He said that programs like ownership, housing and inheritance have succeeded in providing great convenience to the general public. So far houses have been distributed to more than 56.17 lakh villagers. Survey work is pending in only 15 revenue villages, that too should be completed at the earliest. Our target should be that by the end of this year all eligible villagers will get ‘Gharauni’ certificates entitling them to ownership of their houses.

The Chief Minister said that ‘Matrubhoomi Yojana’ is being launched to make the common man participate in the development of infrastructure in villages. Its formal launch will be done soon. A large number of people have joined this scheme and have expressed their desire to construct buildings, roads, community centers etc. in the names of their ancestors in their villages. Efforts should be made to connect as many people as possible with this scheme. Such a scheme should be proposed for urban areas also.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Women Welfare, Child Development and Nutrition Minister Baby Rani Maurya, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh and Minister of State for Revenue Anoop Pradhan were present in the meeting.
