Bahraich: A health department team on Tuesday sealed an illegal diagnostic center operating in Paigpur town of the district in the presence of police. The health department has issued a notice to the hospital management seeking a reply. If there is no response, action has been warned.
On Monday, the family of a pregnant woman of Pipara Shivdaha village went to the Payagpur Collective Health Center for treatment. Here the doctor referred to the district hospital stating that he was anemic. Meanwhile, a broker was found from the woman’s husband. He took her to a private hospital operating in the city on the pretext of better treatment. Here the woman was examined and delivered. Ultrasound test was done at Tejas Diagnostic Center. The complaint was made to CHC Superintendent.
The CHC Superintendent sent a health team along with the police force to the spot. CHC Superintendent Dr. Thanedar Singh said that when the complaint was investigated, no ultrasound paper was found. Ultrasound appeared completely illegal. Based on which he has been nabbed in the presence of the police.
The superintendent said that a notice has been sent to the administrator of the private hospital where the woman was delivered, whose reply has been sought. A notice has been pasted on the gate of the hospital. If there is no response, action will be taken against the hospital administrator.
