Hot weather likely in Delhi-NCR today, temperature may cross 43 degrees

New Delhi; People living in the capital Delhi will have to endure intense heat for the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, a heat wave is likely to hit Delhi and surrounding areas on Monday. This situation will continue till Tuesday evening.

On Monday, the Meteorological Department said that a Western Disturbance is likely to bring light rain on Tuesday night, which will bring down the temperature slightly. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to go up to 43 degrees on Monday.

It may be noted that the maximum temperature crossed 45 degrees Celsius in some parts of Delhi on Sunday. While Najafgarh recorded the highest temperature of 46.3 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, Narela and Pitampura observatories recorded 45 degree Celsius, Ridge area 44 degree Celsius and Palam 43.8 degree Celsius. Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 42.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees above the season’s average.
