Six people returning home to celebrate Deepawali on Thursday morning on the Badaun-Delhi road in the Muzaria area of Badaun in Uttar Pradesh were killed and five others were seriously injured in a horrific accident. Police said that all of them were going to their village in the Ujhani area from Noida in a loader. Police sources said that some people were coming home from Noida to celebrate Deepawali, and their loader reached Muzaria town at around seven in the morning when it collided with a tractor-trolley coming from the village. Meanwhile, a speeding car also hit the loader from behind and collided with the divider. They said that after the accident, the car driver fled from there.
A pregnant woman also died.
According to eyewitnesses, the loader first collided with a tractor-trolley that suddenly came out of the village road and onto the highway. After that, the car hit the tempo. Six people are reported to have died in this accident, including a pregnant woman. After the accident, District Magistrate Nidhi Shrivastava and Senior Superintendent of Police Brajesh Singh also reached there. After this gruesome incident, so much blood and pieces of flesh were scattered on the road that the police had to cover them with straw.
Names of the dead and injured-
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Mirzapur resident Atul (31), Bareilly resident Kanhai (35), his wife Kusum (30), son Kartik (eight), and daughter Sheenu (five). One youth is yet to be identified. He said that five people were injured in the accident and have been admitted to the Government Medical College and District Hospital. The injured are being identified as auto driver Manoj, Captain Singh, Megh Singh, Dharamveer, and Aman. Police said that the tractor driver was being searched for. He will be arrested soon.
