Hinduja Group Chairman SP Hinduja is no more

New Delhi: Hinduja Group Chairman Srichand Parmanand Hinduja passed away in London on Wednesday at the age of 87, news agency PTI said. He had been ill for some time and was the eldest of four Hinduja brothers.

Gopichand, Prakash, Ashok and the entire Hinduja family are saddened to announce the passing away of our family patriarch and chairman of the Hinduja Group Mr. SP Hinduja today, a statement from the family said.

 

Eldest son of Hinduja Group founder PD Hinduja. Srichand Hinduja, whom His colleagues and friends fondly call him SP. SP served as chairman of Hinduja Group, Hinduja Parivar and other charitable foundations. In 1952, SP completed his education and started working with his father in the family business.

SP along with his brothers Gopichand, Prakash and Ashok Hinduja developed the strategy for the diversification and growth of the Hinduja Group under his vision and leadership.

 

Years of business experience in both free market and protected economies in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas have established SP’s core belief that free market economies promote greater tolerance and understanding among different people and cultures.
