The petition was filed by advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain on behalf of Ram Prasad Singh, Mahant Shivprasad Pandey, Lakshmi Devi, Sita Sahu, Manju Vyas and Rekha Pathak. On the completion of one year of getting a Shivling-like figure in the Gnanavapi premises, the women of the valley performed Rudrabhishek and puja-archa at the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Meanwhile, the women of the temple premises themselves demanded an ASI survey of the entire Gnanavapi complex.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain told reporters that we have requested the court to conduct a survey of the entire disputed site by ASI using carbon dating and ground penetrating radar technology.

Last week, the Allahabad High Court also ordered the ASI to scientifically investigate the shape. After this decision of the High Court, the women of Wadi want ASI to carry out scientific investigation and carbon dating of the entire Gnanawapi campus. Women’s advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain said that the truth will emerge only after a survey of the entire Gnanawapi campus. That is why a separate application has been made for the scientific investigation of the entire Gnanavapi complex.
