In 2005, Jyllands-Posten, a Danish newspaper, published controversial cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, which sparked outrage in the Muslim community. Al Qaeda, Headley and Rana wanted to take advantage of this. Ahead of the Mumbai terror attacks in October 2008, a sinister plan to attack the newspaper’s office began to hatch and was named the ‘Mickey Mouse Project’. Mumbai-like attack plot

Jacob Schroff, head of the Danish Intelligence Agency, said that the plot for the 2008 Mumbai attack was hatched after a conspiracy at the newspaper’s office in Copenhagen. Under the guise of the organization ‘First World Immigration’, Hadley began investigating the various offices of this Danish newspaper. He said that he wanted to open his office here and wanted to advertise for it. The conversation started between Headley and Rana through codeword emails.

Preparations were made for another attack on India

According to the FBI, the attack in Denmark was foiled because the terrorists wanted to carry out another attack in India. After the Mumbai attack in 2008, the spirits of all the terrorists including Headley had increased. Headley, along with Al-Qaeda, Ilyas Kashmiri and its handlers in Pakistan, planned another attack on India. The attack was to take place around July-August 2009. But in the meantime the news of Kashmiri’s death came and later contact with her was severed despite the information that she was alive.

Two months later, on October 9, he was arrested at the Chicago airport. He was in a mood to go to Pakistan.
