Gwalior: Cloudy with heavy thunderstorm on Saturday morning

Gwalior, May 27 (Hindustan Times) The storm and rain that has been going on for the last four days in Gwalior-Chambal division continued on Saturday as well. On the third day of Nautapa, Gwalior city received heavy rain with thunderstorm. In the meantime, trees fell at some places. Along with this, the power system was disrupted in many areas due to faults in the power lines.

There were heavy clouds in the sky since Saturday morning. A strong wind started blowing around ten o’clock. Meanwhile, winds are blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour in the city and 60 to 80 km per hour in open plains outside the city. Meanwhile, some trees were uprooted and some collapsed in the city and rural areas. Gwalior city received heavy rain for about 15 to 20 minutes. During this time 4.2 mm of rain was recorded. After a few minutes the rain and storm stopped, the weather cleared and then it stayed sunny for the rest of the day.

According to the local meteorological centre, the maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 37.1 degrees Celsius with an increase of 2.7 degrees Celsius, which is 5.7 degrees Celsius less than the previous day. The minimum temperature was also recorded at 24.0 degrees Celsius with an increase of 5.0 degrees Celsius. This is also 4.5 degrees Celsius below the average. The relative humidity was recorded at 64 percent in the morning and 51 percent in the evening.
